Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Like Whoa, Inc. network services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy. Failure to abide by this policy may result in immediate service suspension or termination without prior notice.

1. Prohibited Activities

You may not use our services to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Transmit spam, viruses, or malicious code
  • Engage in unauthorized access to systems or networks
  • Interfere with other users' access to the network
  • Resell service without written authorization

2. Zero Tolerance for Spam and Bulk Email

Like Whoa maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding spam and bulk email.

The following activities are strictly prohibited on our network:

  • Sending spam, bulk email, or unsolicited commercial email of any kind
  • Operating open mail relays or open proxy servers
  • Hosting email services that facilitate spam distribution
  • Any form of outbound marketing email campaigns
  • Email list harvesting or purchasing lists for unsolicited distribution
  • Using our network to support spam operations on external systems

3. No Outbound Marketing on Business or MDU Connections

Business Internet and MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) connections may not be used for any form of outbound marketing activities, including but not limited to:

  • Email marketing campaigns
  • SMS or text message marketing
  • Robocalling or automated voice messaging
  • Social media automation or mass messaging
  • Any other form of unsolicited commercial outreach

Business and MDU connections are intended for legitimate business operations, tenant services, and internal communications only.

4. Penalties and Enforcement

Violations of our anti-spam and outbound marketing policies will result in severe consequences:

Immediate Actions (No Prior Notice Required)

  • Immediate service suspension — Your connection will be suspended without warning upon detection of spam or prohibited marketing activity
  • IP blacklisting — Your IP addresses may be immediately added to global spam blacklists
  • Port blocking — Email ports (25, 465, 587) and other relevant ports may be blocked
  • Traffic filtering — Your traffic may be rate-limited or filtered to prevent further abuse

Financial Penalties

  • Cleanup fees — You will be charged for all costs associated with investigating and remedying spam violations, including staff time, third-party blacklist removal fees, and administrative costs
  • Early termination fees — If service is terminated for AUP violations, all applicable early termination fees will be charged immediately
  • Legal costs — You are responsible for all legal fees incurred by Like Whoa in connection with spam or abuse complaints

Service Reinstatement

  • Service will not be reinstated until a full investigation is completed
  • You must provide written assurance that the violation will not recur
  • Reinstatement fees may apply
  • Repeat violations will result in permanent termination without possibility of reinstatement

5. Reporting and Investigation

We actively monitor our network for spam and abuse. Additionally, we cooperate with:

  • Industry spam reporting organizations
  • Law enforcement agencies
  • Industry abuse desks
  • Affected third parties who report violations

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation of this policy and to share relevant information with appropriate authorities.

6. Network Management

We reserve the right to manage our network to ensure quality service for all customers. This may include traffic prioritization and bandwidth management during peak usage periods.

7. Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your network and systems connected to our service. This includes implementing appropriate firewalls, encryption, and access controls. You must promptly report any security incidents or suspected compromises.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically.
